Sometimes the distance between living on the streets and having a place to call home is smaller than we think.
Several mothers and their children, along with two single men (the craftsmen making our Good News Shoes) are ready — they are ASKING to come off the streets! This decision is HUGE and $900 will get them into housing as soon as possible.

When someone who has lived on the streets is ready for a different life, we don't want finances to be the reason they can’t take that step. These people have accepted Jesus and now we want to show them His love — not with a “hand out” but a “hand up”.
They already have something incredibly important: a way to support themselves once they are housed.
What they don't have is a way to the front door. The need is simple—rental deposits and mattresses. These can be a barrier for to moving from homelessness toward stability and independence.
This isn't about creating long-term dependency. It's about removing the immediate obstacle standing between people who are ready to move forward and the opportunity to do so.
For the mothers, it means a safer place for their children to sleep. For the two men, it means a home to return to as they continue earning income through their work.
A deposit. A mattress. A door that finally opens.
Sometimes restoring dignity really can begin with something as simple as a move.
