Meet the Makers of Good News Goods

Evans

Evans is a talented carpenter with an extraordinary ability to see possibility in what others have thrown away. Using discarded wood, broken furniture, and materials he finds around him, he repairs, rebuilds, and creates beautiful, functional pieces—from stools to tables and other furnishings.

But talent alone doesn't always create opportunity. Evans is currently living outside and struggling to earn enough because people in the community cannot afford to purchase what he makes.

We believe Evans doesn't need his potential created for him—it's already there. He needs an opportunity for that potential to become a sustainable livelihood.

Through Good News Goods, we hope to help talented makers like Evans reach new customers, earn meaningful income from their work, and build a more stable future through the skills they already possess.

This is what it means to restore dignity rather than create dependency.
